Fremantle Dockers & Niagara CVT

Fremantle Dockers – The Fremantle Football Club’s Physiotherapy Department originally tested a Hand Held Cycloid Vibration Therapy (CVT) device leading into the 2008 AFL season.

The club’s protocol is to actively search worldwide for the latest devices purporting to be beneficial for the elite athlete. We review multiple new devices every year and most never get past the testing phase.

It was immediately evident that the Hand Held CVT device was beneficial in the injury management of our athletes. We were so convinced of its usefulness that we purchased an Equissage Hand Held Portable unit to use on our athletes during game time. Both devices have become an integral part of our player’s injury prevention and injury management strategies.

We have found the devices to be most useful in decreasing muscular tightness, reducing the incidence of cramping in-game and assisting recovery post game and post-training.
